During early periods, people used draperies and curtains to cover their windows from the sunshine and, also, to obtain some sort of intimacy in their own home. At the same time, curtains gave a sense of style to the room. But, more and more, they have been replaced with window blinds, and that happened from different reasons: visors are more practicable, are very easy to wash or clean; with window shades you can adjust at your will the level of sun light coming in your room, you can even have coming all the sun heat, but also hiding the view of your room to the eyes of outside strangers.

Vertical blinds are easy to install by yourself, even electric blinds. Then, you save money that you intend to spend on air conditioner. And even during winter time, blinds have the insulation property, so they prevent a certain quantity of heat from your room to get outside through the window.

Vertical window shutters give protection to your carpets, rugs, furniture, TV, computer and other things in your room. The sun razes deteriorate TV and computer, and decolorize textiles; but with a correct adjusting of vertical blinds you can prevent this from happening. I remember in my early childhood when blinds were a rare product on the market, I used to cover up our TV screen with a curtain, true story. But now you can find even electric blinds and remote control vertical blinds that do all the work of regulating the shades.

A third advantage is the variety of blinds you have to choose from depending on color, texture, size, design and so on. You don’t have to worry about you room looking cold or serious because of absence of the window curtains especially with the abundance of blinds industry on the market.
